DESTROYED!! Product Opportunity Explorer is DEAD

As of today, the Product Opportunity Explorer is no longer usable. For those of you who weren't in the know, the Product Opportunity Explorer tool would give you actual Amazon customer search data at the keyword level. Not only this, you could search for an exact keyword and it would show you a very relevant grouping of other keywords related to the keyword you search.

Welp, Amazon killed it today. It was way better than Junglescout or Helium10 for product research. It was a great way to find the search volume for products I wanted to launch on Amazon. Now it's just a heap of keywords, totally disorganized, impossible for anything other than a machine to navigate. And no, this feature is not available through the Selling Partner's (SP) API.

Now when you search a keyword it pairs completely irrelevant keywords with the term you searched and there's no trade-off. There's no noticeable improvement to the tool. I've done side-by-side comparisons with Junglescout and the Product Opportunity Explorer would give a more accurate grouping of related keywords and their search volume.

Goodbye Product Opportunity Explorer. It's been nice.

Well, that is certainly what Amazon does best! Just look at this new and improved forum or the twice removed new and ever more improved homepage....

It is probably for the better if the program guided you to products to sell. Same with the other two online companies you mentioned.

While you review what those types of programs have to offer, you only view it as being referenced to you. Sellers do not take into consideration that there are 1000+ more sellers seeing the same thing and thinking they are the only ones seeing what is offered, Then, after paying the joining fee, you find out that the manufacturers are paying behind the scenes to have their products promoted to potential online sellers.

Your better option is to go where Amazon actually shops, retail stores around the country shop, and 100's of Amazon sellers shop. The ASD show in Las Vegas, February 2024. The sellers who shopped there in February 2023 are all ready for the upcoming holiday shopping season. Look it up online. It only costs showing your business license to get in the door. It lasts a weel and there will ne thousands of manufacturers attending with millions of products which can be sold on Amazon.
