Expedited Shipping No Longer Being Offered

In a nutshell, we have a default shipping template that is correctly set up and has worked well for years. Most of our 3,000+ ASINs are attached to this template. When setting up an Amazon Shipping template, you can choose among 5 shipping methods: Free, Standard, Expedited, Two Day, and One-Day shipping.

Our template offers 4 of these 5 shipping methods: It utilizes Free, Standard, Expedited, and Two-Day Air shipping options. We do not offer One-Day shipping.

In mid-January, due to severe weather, late FedEx deliveries knocked us out of eligibility for Premium Shipping. This happens to us regularly, our metrics fall below the minimum due always to a courier not meeting the expected delivery timeframe- due to weather, etc. Once our metric window clears, and we become eligible once again, we get Premium Shipping back. At this point, there's not much you can do- it's part of doing business.

Despite losing our Premium Shipping eligibility, we continued to offer Free, Standard, and Expedited shipping options. However, about 2 weeks ago, suddenly Expedited Shipping stopped appearing as an option to customers who were trying to order our items.

We've not been able to obtain a good explanation for the disappearance of our Expedited Shipping option. Customer service insists that we lost Expedited Shipping because we lost our Premium Shipping eligibility. This is despite the fact that Amazon's posted Premium Shipping policy says "In the United States, Premium Shipping options include One-Day Shipping, and/or Two-Day Shipping". You can read this policy and language here). This language does not mention Expedited Shipping as included in Premium Shipping. It also does not explain why Expedited remained a shipping option for our customers for weeks after our Premium Shipping eligibility was lost.

Just wondering what other sellers who offer both One/Two Day Air shipping and Expedited Shipping options have experienced. Despite the Amazon.com Premium Shipping language that defines Premium Shipping as One Day or Two Day Air, do you find that losing Premium Shipping eligibility also means you have lost the ability to offer Expedited Shipping as well?

Also hoping perhaps a mod can help us escalate this issue and get an answer to clear up confusion. Thank you!
