Product title not updating

My product title is not updating.

Two days ago I made an edit to my product title to update keywords.

The title has still not updated and there is even a word missing that was in the title before.

Anyone experiencing the same issue or know anything about this?

You can do MINOR changes on the title and it's not sure that the system will accept them. Especially, the brand can never be changed.

Hello @Seller_rvJ5ZPoNHB5F2,

Michelle at Amazon here! I understand that you are trying to update your title on your listing. Do you have a case with Selling Partner Support that I can take a look at? If you have not yet created a case, please start here and let me know if they are unable to help you once they resolve the case. Ensure that you provide the ASIN you are trying to update, what you are trying to update it to and if you are not the brand owner, a link to the manufacturers website to prove that the changes should be made.

I look forward to hearing back from you!

Regards,

Michelle

it has been happening to us quite a bit lately. Going and doing a back end upload may help. I know you have been told to contact customer service -- they will not be any help. They will tell you to do the obvious and then they will say they need more information.

I have this same issue, and after beating my head against the wall for 6 months, an Amazon rep finally told me the quiet part out loud - Amazon believes they know your product better than you do, and they ultimately decide what the title will be. Doesn't matter if you created the ASIN, doesn't matter if you own the brand, Amazon is an all knowing god-like being and you are just a replaceable bug, so they will decide what your product titles will be.

There are several factors that go into a content updates and whether Amazon will accept them. So, a few follow up questions...

Are you brand registered?

Are there other sellers on this listing?

Did you originally create this listing?

Having a little more information can help other forum users help you. There are different solutions to the problem depending on what the underlying issue is.

Have you been making changes via the web-based listing editor? If so, I'd recommend making partial edits to an inventory flat file and uploading instead. It is much more reliable.

Downloaded and editing flat files is a little intimidating at first. Google "How to Use a Flat File to Update Your Product Listing Title and Bullets" and you'll find some useful step-by-step guides.
