Able to remove UPS shipping option?
Hey guys,
Anyone know of a way to remover UPS as a shipping option? I've updated my shipping preferences to prioritize only USPS but still getting shipments with only UPS options. Which is because USPS don't deliver to their address. All the items I sell are small and UPS is double the price of USPS and sometimes the shipping is actually more than the total cost of the item. On some items I ship same day it really causes issues because I am not able to get them out the same day with UPS. So it messes with my metrics and customers aren't happy since it never gets to them by the estimated delivery date. For awhile I was using pirateship as they will still ship USPS even if they don't deliver to the address. This isn't really worth it though as sometimes they are able to get it to the customer and sometimes not. Which just causes extra shipping costs, unhappy customers and risks of AZ claims which will be approved and count against me since I didnt use buy shipping from Amazon. Any help would be appreciated! It's VERY unlikely that USPS does not deliver to any location in the US and Territories.
More likely the issue is that the 'buyer' lives in a small location that does not have street delivery. When that happens they are given a PO BOX to use for their address. The problem is that they KNOW they need to provide that box number but are simply too lazy to do so.
Amazon buyers in particular are a 'special' breed of inconsiderate.
When that happens the PO does not even put the streets into their data base and it comes up as 'address not known' or some such thing.
I want all my shipping charges for multiple sites in one place so I use Stamps/Endicia/Dazzle and just print out the labels with the "bad" address and ship them off.
The people at the PO know who belongs to what box in almost all cases.
Before Amazon got so weird on actual communication with buyers I would send them a message educating them that over 60% of sales on Amazon are NOT delivered by Amazon and we actually need the REAL address provided by the PO.
