MOD HELP PLZ - FBA Returns being labeled as "Defective" multiple SKUs, makes no sense
Have tried to get help. Getting the run around AFTER they insisted I provide every Order ID, I had to GUESS for, on items marked as "Defective" in "Remove Unfulfillable Inventory" to get a response.
Some orders are so old, I don't even think the removal items belong to those orders.
CASE ID 16506059731
The return reasons by customers were "no longer needed", "not for my application", "Unwanted Item". Not damaged or defective. AND, I've never had items labeled as "Defective". "Customer Damaged", not Defective.
Not going to be happy to pay to have them returned to me if I get them back and they are fine. Amazon should have to reimburse sellers for failing to do their due diligence when this happens and they won't even investigate why there are a bunch listed as "Defective". Sorry, ticket case support drives me batty, sending me on fools errands rather than do the job they are paid to do.
I appreciate your help!!!

When I pay to have them returned to me, if they're sellable, how do I request a refund from Amazon for the shipping expenses charged by them to return a perfectly good item to me?
This is what will most likely happen because there is no way we all of a sudden had returns, without customer complaints, on multiple SKUs that were "Defective".

I was never able to get a reason for this. We were only told they were categorized as Defective at the warehouse and nothing can be done.
We have the same thing happening again! Can I please get a reason for this?

Yeah this is a huge issue.
I think they mark it defective when it doesn't look like a brand new item as pictured on the listing page. Sometimes they just mark everything defective if they can't be sure, they don't spend much time opening or inspecting and there is no penalty for them to not do that. Infact the more stuff returns to you the more money they make.
But just like you, 19/20 items "defective" have nothing wrong and are pristine and often return reason is they just dont want it.

TAGGING... Thank you for looking. Hopefully, we have found information about this odd issue by now. But, if not, please help. We really need to get to the bottom of it.
