I have a buyer that keeps contacting me on phone but not answering messages sent through amazon in regards to their order..I have not answered the phone calls because i am not familiar with the number and messages are being left on my phone..i thought all messages regarding orders should be made through the amazon messaging system. I was told in the past that messages should not be made outside Amazon

How did they get your phone number? Is it listed on your seller page?
Did the buyer include their order number? Or can you easily find their order? If so, send them a message through buyer/seller messaging.

Do not engage over the phone. To protect yourself and the buyer, all communication should be through Amazon's messaging system. You can emphasize that in a message in the system and make them aware that outside of Amazon communication is prohibited.

No communication regarding orders should occur outside the Buyer-Seller Messaging. Buyer-Seller Messaging is the only approved method for communicating with buyers on Amazon.
