Registation for VAT calculation services
My long standing registration for VAT calculation services has suddenly been rejected. Received this email "You have automatically been removed from the VAT Calculation Service (VCS) as you no longer meet the following VCS eligibility criteria:
Your default country for VAT exclusive price must have a valid EU VAT number.
Should you wish to activate VCS again, you may re-enroll here. Enrolling into VCS offers many benefits including key Amazon Business features such as: VAT exclusive display pricing, free invoicing for your Amazon transactions, VAT transaction reporting and the Downloadable VAT Invoice badge on eligible offers.
For more information about VAT in EU, contact your tax advisor. For more information about correcting your Amazon Settings, either visit the VCS methodology document or contact Seller Support via Contact us>Selling on Amazon>VAT Calculation tool."
I've tried to set the default country, but the drop down option on registration page does not show a country list. Seller support no help!

just got this despite nothing with my VAT changing, and I can't select country in the drop down either

A bit more info for affected sellers: I searched my emails for the subject/header "Important information regarding your VAT registration number" as I was sure Amazon had done this to me before. I found an email from them back on 22nd March 2018, worded a little differently, but otherwise exactly the same as this one. From the Amazon sales and billing history, it looks like I had to put the store into holiday mode for over 2 weeks that time, while it got sorted.
I'm already getting stressed out thinking about the nonsense cut and paste replies I'll get off them.

Hi - I am having the same issue right now, 3 years selling then all of a sudden this, no changes my end.
I am now getting invoice request left right and centre and Amz have started to collect the VAT from sales.
@Seller_zOlk6EX3ENKFK - I have the same issue that drop down box does not give a county to select, Amazon are juts simply not answering me
