How to change your displayed business name to the right of the Amazon logo in seller central (partner dropdown)
The partner dropdown to the right of the Amazon logo in seller central is showing our old business name from 6+ years ago. Here's a screenshot:

Does anyone know how to change this? I contacted Amazon support and the rep replied that we should not try to modify the Amazon logo, which seemed like the usual deflection response some reps use to close a case without solving the problem.

Open your account information from the gear icon and click on legal entity and update your tax information

I see under Account Info--> Global Accounts what looks like a way to rename what is being displayed as my name in that dropdown box.
As with most things on Amazon, I don't make changes unless it's vital since you never know what might break. Good luck!

Click the gear icon in the top left and choose Account Info. When that opens up in the business info area at, the bottom right of the section, is "Display Name." You can enter how you want your name to be displayed without impacting anything related to your corporate or legal entity. You can change just the display name individually for each country in which you sell.

do not do it. It probably will become too complicated and the help is very limited. be careful.
