Amazon Deals & Black Friday/Cyber Monday - what are your thoughts?

Do you have any experience with Deals/Lightning Deals?

They seem to be incredibly expensive - $150 for a regular week; $300-$500 for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

We're thinking about running a few Black Friday Deals, but we don't really want to throw $1,000+ at an experiment, and there's no way in hell I'm trusting Amazon's flowery data.

I'm hesitant to sign up, but I'd like to give them a shot too if they're any good.

Thanks for your thoughts.

There is no one rule for all. If you have a good product with a good selling history, an item that doesn't stay on the shelf, you can rake in extra sales that make up for the cost. But only you know how many of your product you sell on an average day and how many more you might sell with the added exposure.

It's a good way to clean out overstock and your profit margin has to allow for it, just like any advertising cost.
