The death of ALL watch sales due to Consumer Button Cell Battery and General Certificate of Conformity!!!
{Content Removed} all of my watch sales are completely DEAD by signing the Reeses law act!!! In the past month I have other 5,800 General Certificate of Conformity for the Consumer Button Cell Battery. From what I was told only the manufacturer has that and its unattainable for me to get ahold.
My whole business is completely crippled by this! There is no light at the end of the tunnel for this mess!
Every listing is turning into a dog page. Does anybody know if it will effect ebay and wal mart platforms too?
Does anybody have any insight how to fix this disastrous mess?

All of us watch sellers are dead in the water on Amazon. THis is beyond crazy and has killed our business. The question I have is that when the watch manufacturers produce these watches they have all of these certifications so why do we have to get them we are not the manufacturer of these watches. {Content Removed} Its a slow death just getting boxes with fba inventory returned every day. What a shame

The irony here is that some items that I sell Amazon also sells, and those listings are also removed, so I wonder if Amazon is realizing this or not since they would have thousands of inventory just sitting. The responses I get from their help team is same with a different person. I have told them many times that this product is exempt since it requires special tool to be opened, and under Reese's law these products should be exempt. I have sent them detail page of the law, screenshots, direct quotes, and links, yet they refuse to look at it. Another unnecessary thing we are asked to do. Are they not noticing their drop in fees, I have noticed drop in sales, most of my items are gone.

98% of my ASINS are gone. {Content Removed} Amazon has become liberal to the max. BTW- Google removes the ASIN pages right away when they become Dog pages.

Oh, brother. It's Amazon taking this to a ridiculous level, not the law. No watches should be affected, but Amazon is doing this anyway. Here's what the law says:
(a) <<NOTE: Deadline.>> In General.--Not later than 1 year after
the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commission shall, in
accordance with section 553 of title 5, United States Code, promulgate a
final consumer product safety standard for button cell or coin batteries
and consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries that
shall only contain--
(1) a performance standard requiring the button cell or coin
battery compartments of a consumer product containing button
cell or coin batteries to be secured in a manner that would
eliminate or adequately reduce the risk of injury from button or
coin cell battery ingestion by children that are 6 years of age
or younger during reasonably foreseeable use or misuse
conditions;
We all know how hard it is to get a watch battery out. There's no way a kid could do it. This should not apply to watches at all, yet here we are. We have lost years of work, hundreds of listings, because Amazon can't read. Put your anger where it belongs and keep the politics out. It's Amazon making up these rules.
There is more to the law that requires labeling, but we all could handle that. It's Amazon that's demanding the lab testing, not the law.

I apologize for any delay on this thread. In general the best course when documents are requested for Button cell and coin batteries and products that contain them is to provide the requested documentation or to demonstrate that your product is not subject to this policy.
@Seller_I1nrzWAOR1S2u, if you are still having an issue please provide your most recent Case ID on this issue that includes all impacted ASINs and a member of the team will review to see what options exist.
