That's great.
Hopefully #3 will be expanded to post checkout as well. Will the buyer be getting receipt information that contains their entries for the customizations?
As has been mentioned by both Custom and Handmade sellers, customers often message in a panic about their order. They aren't provided with the custom field entries in their email receipt nor when they open their your orders page. They can't be sure that the seller has the correct information for the order.
This is a critical piece of information both to reduce these messages as well as evidence for not as described or claims of seller error.
The Customer is unable to review their personalization request

oh my goodness YES if buyers can actually see the custom text that they entered this will be INCREDIBLE. Customers contact me regularly with an item "printed incorrectly" and they swear up and down that they wrote the correct date and there is NOWHERE for them to verify.

How can we tell if this is live, and what do we need to "update" in our customized listings?

Hi everyone! Following up on this post, we want to communicate that these enhancements are officially live!
Here's a little bit more of info:
As part of the enhanced customization experience, we recommend you perform the following actions:
- Familiarize yourself with the new customization options by clicking on Add/Edit Customization Information on your listings from Seller Central’s Manage Inventory page.
- Review your existing Handmade Custom products and ensure all the customization information is accurate.
- Upload a preview image: This is the image that customers will see their customizations applied to on the detail page, in cart and during checkout.
- Provide a zero-cost customization option.
- Update existing customization: In some cases, you may notice that the customization options are not editable for your existing Handmade Custom products. These products need additional updates for you to begin using the new customization features. From Seller Central’s Manage Inventory page, click on Add/Edit Customization Information, then use the link, ‘update customization with our new form’ to provide additional details for your listings.
- If you want to add and edit customization in bulk, you will need to create new customization templates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Am I required to update my products?
You are not required to update your existing products. However, we highly recommend updating your existing customizable Handmade products so you can take advantage of the enhanced customization experience.
What additional information will I need to enter if I decide to edit my existing customizable Handmade products?
If you choose to edit your existing customizable Handmade products, then you will be required to: 1) Upload a preview image. 2) Provide a zero-cost customization option (only needed for listings where $0 customization is currently not present).
How do I update my customizable Handmade products to upload a preview image and provide a zero-cost customization option?
To begin adding customizations, go to Manage Inventory, click on Add/Edit Customization Information option and follow the steps to add customizations as needed for your products.
Will there be any changes to the customer experience when customers view or checkout my product?
Yes. Customers will be able to add customizations like color, text, font and image and be able to preview the customization they select if your custom handmade listings contain a preview image.
Additionally, customers will now be required to select at least one customization when they purchase a customizable Handmade product, even if your products contain only optional customizations. We encourage you to review how this requirement affects the buying experience of your products and modify your listings as you see fit.
Why is Amazon making these changes?
Until now, selling partners who sell customized/personalized products in the Handmade program had access to a limited set of customizations. Based on feedback from our selling partners, we are expanding the customization options available when listing customizable products in Handmade. We believe these enhanced features will allow you to better showcase your products, improve the customer experience and increase your sales.
Why do I need to upload a preview image?
Uploading a preview image will improve customers’ confidence with their purchases by allowing customers to preview customizations on Handmade products on the detail page, in cart and checkout. Adding preview images could help customers visualize how the customizations they select appear on your products.
Why do I need to provide a zero-cost customization option?
In order to provide a positive customer experience, each customizable product must offer customers at least one customization without an added cost.
Will customers face any issues if I decide to not update my customized products on Handmade?
No, customers will not notice any difference when they view your products and will be able to place orders as usual even if you do not update your listings. However, your products will continue to display limited customization options and customers will not be able to preview customizations on your products.
Why should I update my listings if customers do not face any problems when viewing and ordering my products?
Even though customers will not experience any problems, they could find your products less engaging due to the lack of additional customization options and absence of preview images when they compare your custom products with similar custom products from other Handmade selling partners who have taken advantage of the new customization experience. Customers may want to preview how their customizations appear on your product. Hence, we highly recommend updating your listings to improve customer experience and influence customers’ purchase decisions.
Why should I create new customization templates?
If you would like to add or edit customization in bulk, you need to create new customization templates. Templates you previously used will no longer be available when the new customization experience launches. If you do not have copies of your previously used templates and need to access them, please contact Seller Support.
Remove/Review:
To begin adding customizations, go to Manage Inventory, click on Add/Edit Customization Information and follow the steps to add customizations you need for your product.

@priscilla_amazon If we are still using the old custom text interface, will buyers now be able to see their custom details on their receipt? Or only if we use the new text preview? I'm having some issues with fonts (mine are all .otf and aren't playing well with the enhanced preview system). I'd still like to know if buyers can see their info, which has been the main problem in the past!
