A Petition for an Amazon Selling Partner Support Improvement
This is a long shot but I figured this would be the best place to begin.
Honestly I am not one to really ever voice my opinions. But after selling on Amazon for 5 years and seeing no real improvement to Amazon's Selling Partner Support I'd like to try to make an effort along with my fellow Amazon Partnered Sellers to see if we can make a change.
Anyone who is a seasoned or long time seller on Amazon has most likely had to deal with Amazon's Selling Partner Support from time to time. Usually through email or a phone call. One thing that is common for 99% of the Amazon Partnered Sellers who have had to deal with them is that their experiences have been very poor or just out right nightmarish.
Through email Amazon's Selling Partner Support usually takes 24 hours or more for most issues. In most cases their reply being an automated response or a copy pasted script. Through phone call you can actually get some results if you're lucky, or just plain out persistent which can take up hours of your time.
Regardless of how much power Amazon Representatives have, (which is more than you think) they can help in several ways. Most Reps have the power to expedit your case or even connect you directly to internal teams. Or even simply give you peace of mind knowing they tried their best. That doesn't mean they will or actually know how. That only really happens when the Amazon Representative cares to help you.
Sadly most of the staff for Amazon Selling Partner Support seems to be inefficient, unwilling or unprofessional. This could be due to poor training or just lack of motivation.
Amazon is a *trillion* (with a T) dollar company so this is inexcusable if you ask me. Especially when our livelihoods are affected by it so heavily sometimes.
I'd seriously like to start a petition to have Amazon make a change to their Selling Partner Support.
A Feedback System for their Seller Support Representative's could really help optimize things in my opinion. Instead of just rating the experience itself it would be useful if we could rate or leave feedback directly for an Amazon Representaive as well. If Amazon implemented a feedback system strictly for their representatives I think we could see positive results and changes from them.
This system would basically work as a compass and incentivizer for Amazon's Seller Support.
Amazon Representatives under a feedback score who have low ratings could be re-trained, re-orientated or let go if they show no improvements.
With a change like this a lot of Amazon Partnered Sellers would get answers and results faster.
This results in more productivity and peace of mind for Amazon Sellers and more productivity and efficiency for Amazon.
To fully implement something like this is well within Amazon's budget and capabilities. We make up around 60% of Amazon's revenue so I truly believe if enough of us sign off on something, they will eventually notice.
This type of system would be a win for everyone.
