Restricted Products Policy Definition of Assault Weapon

Can a mod, admin, or ANYONE point me to the place were Amazon defines the term "assault weapon"?

In the past I have gotten restricted products violations. I do my due diligence and make sure they are not assault weapon or assault weapon accessories. However, since I have been unable to find where "assault weapon" is defined anywhere in the policies, it means that it becomes an opinion as to what an assault weapon is.

What's worse is that not only are the violations incorrect, often amazon itself sells and fulfills the same product itself in a different color or variation. Which leads to even MORE confusion.

I really don't understand how I am supposed to determine if Amazon thinks an item is restricted if Amazon itself is selling and fulfilling the same item. It isn't even items that are questionable. The last violation I got was for a gun case! A plastic box! That amazon was also selling. I have spent over 2 weeks, just trying to get someone to acknowledge the fact that either the asin I listed was COMPLIANT, and the violation should be removed. Or that Amazon is engaging in unfair trade practices by continuing to sell the same items. ALL OF this could be avoided if someone could just point me to where "assault weapon is defined

I mean I dont mind having the rules in place, but lets make sure they are understandable and applied the same for everyone, across all sins. I shouldn't have to guess what amazon will think about an item.

This is what I found on Amazon:

It looks like there are local, state and federal policies

Explosives, weapons, and related items

Important: If you supply products for sale on Amazon, you must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and Amazon policies applicable to those products and product listings.

Our policy is that you must comply with all applicable federal laws when selling weapons, imitation weapons, and weapon accessories.

You must also comply with state and local laws applicable to the jurisdiction into which your products are sold, as well as the jurisdiction from which you ship. For example, many state laws place requirements on size, color, and markings of imitation weapons.

In addition, you are responsible for obtaining any required licenses for permitted products and are liable for any penalties that result from non-compliance.

If you use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), go to FBA prohibited products for additional product restrictions.

The examples of permitted and prohibited listings below are not exhaustive, but should be instructive in evaluating products for listing and sale.

And to follow up on this, you will never get a list of the key words that the Bot was programmed to look for. Its also very unlikely that any admin would have access to that list either.

And you seem to be unaware that its the same bot that trolls both your business websites and your listings here then compares it to see price and description differences. Its how they bust so many people selling drug paraphernalia on here.
