Child ASIN are shown as stand alone On detail page and in Seller Central they are accurately organized under parent

We are currently encountering an issue where one of our best-selling products is erroneously displayed as a stand-alone item on the Amazon detail page, despite being accurately organized under its designated parent in the backend system. The Parent ASIN for this product is B09Z7HQG85. We have diligently investigated this matter and can confirm that the product's association with its parent ASIN was correctly reflected in the feed file. The batch ID for the successfully uploaded feed file is 569299019768, and no errors or warnings were reported during the upload process. Despite our persistent efforts to resolve this issue over the past week, we have encountered challenges in receiving effective support from Amazon's seller support team. Regrettably, the responses received thus far have consisted of repetitive scripted messages, failing to address the specific complexities of our situation.

I was able to verify that the variation family is constructed correctly.

Your variation family is constructed correctly. However, I cannot find Elite Sports live on any offer I search for. Leading me to believe I have identified your problem.

Have you verified if your account is facing any issues such as verification issues? You can do so by hovering over the gear icon (settings) on the top right and clicking on "Account Health".

Are you seeing any notices about your account? Amazon hides this very well.

you can try to delete the old parent asin and than give your chilcd asins a new parent asin, to increase the success rate, you can replace a new variation theme.

I had met this problem before, and it did work, I hope it can help you.

Have you ever changed any attribute recently? If only part of child variations show up, you might think about the suggestion from @McLovinSellinOnAMZ. I guess it might be a listing violation issue rather than a variation one.

We have been having this on a LOT of listings, but we thought it was related to brand registry nonsense and Amazon has been changing the feed/listing system a lot the past year or so. But I am guessing you own the brand and are brand registered? Though if you aren't brand registered that would make it even weirder given the issue we have been having on this front. Has been a problem for about 2 months now, maybe 3. In November we could fix orphans in pretty much any major brand by following the standard steps (lots) to confirm it was a good change. Now following those same steps every upload creates it's own special parent for the orphans and refuses to put them into the target parent/anchor pairing.

We haven't found a solution yet.

This has started back in the summer of 2023 following the prime day and spreading like a virus. This must be triggered by an update on the back end and we were on the phone totaling more than 24 hours just to fix random disconnections of child items from listings we are selling for many years. We suspect the root cause of the issue is tagged as "ASIN creation problem" Our ASIN creations were not problematic but we guess became outdated based on new updates on catalog codes of amazon system. After literally hundreds of trials we gave up and left them as is. Everything on our end seems proper like the parent and related children under it. To our surprise some of the child items that became stand alone started to form alliances with their siblings over time. We are just watching them in awe as they get together and separate on their own as the time goes. We may suggest downloading the latest flat file and fill it up as much as you can with all new attributes and choose partial update. We also noticed category tree has also changed and our old sub categories are either renamed or totally changed with some new sub categories. Considering the simplest thing can be an impossible task with seller support and these changes will require a miraculous catalog team member to take your hand and walk you through. Hope this helps...

Hello @Seller_z98HKZYs9bP1h- thanks for detailing this issue here on the seller forums. I wanted to check in to understand if this issue is persisting after attempting any further variation file uploads to correct the variation family, or after pushing the necessary offers live? If you have an open case ID working on the topic with support, feel free to share it here in the thread so I can take a closer look!

Best,

Danny

From your Inventory page, individually click on each item that brings you to the Amazon website page. Check the categories. Sometimes Amazon will change a category on a child item so it doesn't match the parent, which is what breaks it off.

You can also download a spreadhseet here https://sellercentral.amazon.com/listing/varwiz and check the number of variations linked and sometimes it will show the product type & category.

When this happens to us, we send a screen print to Amazon showing the amount of variations, then the ones that are broken off on their web pages.

After a bunch of back and forth of course, they should hopefully update to add the child back to the parent. You're on your own though to determine if there is a product type or category change, Amazon will not take the time to actually try to help you troubleshoot, so you have to do this on your own.
