A to Z Claim found in buyer`s favor, although I proofs were provided !

Sooo, just like many of you guys, there was a buyer who bought collectible cards from our store. The cards are expensive(£200) and we have decided to record videos for every order of them. Of course, there was a buyer stating that the deck was previously opened and wanted to return them. I have immediately contacted him and sent him proof of the condition prior to sending it to him and how the order was prepared. Once returned back, all rare cards were missing from the set and I decided to issue him 20% refund, although, in my opinion, he didn`t deserve anything as we are at a huge loss even with 20% refund. Right after that he opened an A to Z claim which was found in his favor without the chance to appeal it.

Is there anything that I can do? I am considering contacting a lawyer now, because this practice from Amazon is not acceptable.

Please email managingdirector@amazon.co.uk

They should be able to reverse your payment.

Their office takes matters more seriously.

And if what @Seller_A7wI1SGeyIqHFsaid doesn't work (it won't), don't bother with a lawyer, just take Amazon to the Small Claims Court. It's cheap and easy and works every time. Don't hesitate.

Fraudsters should face consequences, not rewards, which is why this is spiraling out of control.

Buyers do it over and over, Amazon is not better then this type of buyers. Thieves and fraudsters all over.

I also sell on here but.....

For all the talk of fraudsters, meaning 'buyers', it seems nobody wins with amazon. I had 2 pressure cookers shipped to me from USA to UK. For some reason, Evri were selected as delivery agents in the UK. They left two large boxes, one a branded product box, outside my empty house, 8 metres from a public footpath that runs in front of my home. An email arrived at 15.54pm (while I was out) telling me that delivery was to be that day, All I knew to that point was that the parcels were in the UK. The email (sent at 15.54pm) stated delivery was to be expected between 15.00pm and 17.00pm. They 'proof of delivery' was a photo of the boxes dumped outside my home at 16.06pm. Twelve minutes after the email advising delivery was sent.

When I got home many hours later, they were not ther. Whether they were actually left after the photo was taken or simply picked up by some random passer-by I will never know.

I reported the missing parcels to Essex Police in the usual way and 24 hours later had a crime ref and an email saying 'after investigation' there was nothing they could do. Big surprise.

However, Amazon USA require a PDF of a police report, or a link to the police report, in order to accept a refund request. These are not available from UK police. In fact, when I contacted 'Info Rights of Essex' to request such a report, they refused the request and wrote that Amazon are actually breaking UK law by trying to force a person to make such a request (bizarre in itself but even so...).

So a buyer whose parcels from amazon.com are stolen has no way of requestiing a refund. I have had to pay £350 for two more pressure cookers which, thankfully, were given to Royal Mail to deliver (ie they were actually delivered).

We have experienced scammers as sellers on amazon too, although they have always been easy to catch out to date, but for all those complaining about amazon letting scammers claim refunds or leave dodgy reviews (or whatever) remember that buyers often get shat upon too.

advise buyer you're reporting them to the police as you have video and weight scans of the item leaving and its not the same being returned. this is a fraudulent return and you will give him a one time opportunity to make things right to return the missing goods or reimburse the stolen funds. Give him 72 hours max.

if no reply go ahead and phone the police on this scammer and write to Amazon MD for the appeal.
