How can I see exactly what my per-sale fees go to

How can I see exactly what my per-sale fees are on Amazon go to because it seems out of control and I can't profit, especially paying for Amazon Ads. Can I make a claim back on VAT as a VAT exempt (I still pay it)? If not, does that mean operating as a live business and take accounting more profitable due to the claim back?

The transaction view will show you the specific per item fees. You are not VAT exempt. You cannot claim the VAT back as you aren't registered for VAT - though as a NETP storing goods in the UK you probably should be.

Not sure what you mean by being a live business - You are a business already if you have bought items to re-sell trying to make a profit. Doesn't matter if its 1 item or thousands.

If your fees are higher than your profit then you are selling wrong items, at too low a price and investing in ads that are not paying off. The transaction view will show you your selling fees - but it will not show you your Amazon ad fees.

As for VAT - well everyone pays it. No one is truly exempt. If you are not registered then you cannot reclaim any VAT you have paid out. If you do register then you can claim back VAT paid out - but must charge it on all your goods and services (with very few exception) and pay HMRC the difference between the two.
