Customer says package was not received

On self fulfilled and shipped orders, what do you know when the customer claims to not have received it BUT it was marked as delivered. Three reasons this could happen, Carrier messed up, customer is lying, package was stolen off their porch after the fact.

As the last person in line, WHAT CAN WE DO TO REDUCE THE COST BACK TO US? Obviously, the customer (we all) have been trained to demand our money back. But as the seller, we are out of product. Double whammy.

What do you do? Please help.

For future sales: Use Amazon Shipping services- purchase the label from the site.

Here is the how's & the why's:

https://sell.amazon.com/learn/fulfillment-by-merchant

also check the https://sell.amazon.com/learn not only to "REDUCE THE COST" but to stay at live in this marketplace as long as possible.

In this case, if you purchase the label through amazon, you are safe when buyer files a claim for INR or file a charge back: as long as you have a tracking # which has confirmation of delivery.

Still, Read the link provided for future peace of mind.

good luck

You file an insurance claim with the carrier for non delivery, and you refund the customer

You ask the carrier to provide you the signature proof of delivery, or the delivery photo if your carrier supports that, and you send it to the customer.
