New problem - customer complains item delivered too quickly!!
Message today from customer who says they ordered an item on 21st Dec and was told by Amazon delivery would be 28/29th (presumably Amazon extended the delivery date because of the holidays). Customer knew they would not be at home until 28th so placed order.
I shipped the order the same day and RM delivered it on the 22nd
Customer now complaining that they knew they would not be at home to take delivery until the 28/29th and that the item has now gone missing (presumably it may have been left on the doorstep on the 22nd) and so of course they want a refund or a replacement.
Ive tried explaining to customer that according to Amazon policy we have to ship within 24 hours of order being placed and any delivery date given would be an estimated deliver by date and not an exact deliver on date.
Never had a customer complaining of an item being delivered too quickly before - but it just goes to show when Amazon adjust delivery dates how it can be confusing for the customer.

All would go away if amazon would use the term estimated like ebay do.
Though that will only happen when amazon can't deliver to an exact time frame (which to be fair, was becoming more common before Christmas, even on FBA orders).

We've had it a few times where the delivery has been attempted before the customer has returned from holiday (shopping on the sun lounger seems to be quite common).
We had one last week where the courier delivered a day early and we got blasted because the customer wanted a lye in (and they had to get out of bed to answer the door).

It would also be helpful if Amazon showed any delivery instructions on the actual order page, rather than tucking them out of sght in downloadable order reports... :/

It happened to me once, I posted on the same day (it was a Thu) and arrived the day after. Buyer was on holiday until Sunday and the parcel was allegedly stolen before they got back.
Talking about strange complaints, I am still thinking about yesterday's two refunds. Both of them were said to be defective, therefore I pay for the postage as well.
1) a powder product was actually powder, I mean it's the end of civilisation when you order powder and get powder
2) the incense they bought wasn't edible. I haven't heard of edible incense sticks but what do I know?
