Amazon changed our product ASIN after update template upload - how to restore ASIN?

Hi All,

As above, we performed a product listing update via the spreadsheet upload tool. We set the upload sheet to "Update" mode.

After uploading the sheet, the ASIN of our product has changed (the SKU is the same).

Is there a way we can restore the ASIN prior to the update? I ask as the ASIN was already in the Amazon product catalogue and we would want to associate that ASIN with the same product in different countries.

Hello @Seller_W09qpB9aZ3VZB,

Thanks for your forum post.

Thank you for posting on the forum. If your product was assigned a new ASIN after an update, there could be various reasons for this.

Review the update sheet for any errors, ensure there are no unintended changes, and check for duplicate listings.

Verify the original ASIN in the Amazon catalog. If both detail pages now exist, you can request an ASIN merge.

More information is available on the help page: Merge Duplicate Product Pages

ASINs are unique identifiers, and changes may occur due to modifications during the update process.

Keep us informed.

Regards, Ezra
