How to deal with Fraud in the Jewelry space

There has become so much fraud in the jewelry space, its hard if not impossible to compete with .

First it was "moissanite lab grown diamonds" a moisanite is not a diamond or a lab grown diamond, this violates FTC regulations and Amazons own policies.

Now its sellers selling gold plated brass and calling it 14K gold.

I have made test buys- turned them in and the Bots say no violation.

The sellers have even messaged back that the earrings are not really gold but gold plated brass. These folks are going to destroy the space and are ripping off consumers daily.

I would post examples if that is allowed.

It's bad because even their descriptions claim that they're 14k gold and not plated, and their price points should be a red flag. And you're right, Moissanite should never be called a diamond, but overseas sellers get away with calling them diamonds and plated brass 14k gold on Amazon and on E*sy.

No different than the thousands of listings for turquoise that is only the 'color' of turquoise, dyed howlite, dyed magnesite, dyed anything that is soft that will take the color.

Amazon cared once upon a time. Not so much, now. I remember staying up all hours of the night having panic attacks, working on spreadsheets to correct the bots that would label something of mine as "silver" when it was "silvertone". They were actually shutting down legit, longtime jewelry sellers for these errors made by bots. I think you were here back then so you probably remember the nightmare it all was and how we were all so freaked out and paranoid about making even the tiniest error when describing our jewelry. Now it's the wild, wild west and anything goes it seems!

The entire space is ruined. the entire first page is under $100 Dollars. Actual Natural or even Lab Grown Diamonds Cost More to manufacture. Buyers are getting scammed left and right on amazon

Still nothing done by Amazon??

Just few years ago sellers will get suspended for much less. Thousands of page results when searching for "Moissanite lab created diamond", all use the term "Moissanite " and "lab created diamond" in the title, this is a clear FTC violation.

All foreign sellers!!

Some of these sellers have thousands of sales per month.

Come on Amazon, your bots should pick this up !
