Quick Tip: Quick Tip: Order Refund Request

Hello everyone

Do you need to refund an order?

Before you issue a refund, consider the following:

  • After you have authorized a return request, you can wait until you have received the product back from the buyer before you issue a refund. If you prefer, you can allow the buyer to keep the product even if you decide to issue a refund. To set up automatic returnless refunds for returns that meet certain criteria, consult our Returnless resolutions help page.
  • If the buyer returns the item to you in a condition that is different from the condition in which you sent it, you have the option to issue a partial refund. If you decide to issue a partial refund, we recommend explaining this to the buyer in advance to help avoid misunderstandings or a possible A-to-z Guarantee claim.
  • If you described and listed the item accurately, but the buyer no longer wants it, you have the option to exclude shipping costs from the refund if return request is generated after the 14 days from the buyer’s receipt date. If buyer withdraws from the purchase within 14 days from the receipt of the item you are still expected to refund the buyer the standard shipping costs.

hahahahahahahhahaha. What a funny joke.

You are aware all of this is redundant due to refund at first scan right?

Perhaps some clarify around refund at first scan, when you debit funds from our account, then items are NOT RETURNED by the courier.

Or when an A-Z is opened when an item has been sent using an Amazon returns label, but never actually delivered back to us (as the tracking shows) and you take the funds.

We have repeatedly been unable to reclaim the funds taken when the item has NOT BEEN RETURNED.

Amazon says 'claim from the courier'. Labels are provided by Amazon and purchased through YOUR account with the courier. Sellers cannot make a claim as we have not purchased the label. Couriers direct us back to Amazon, who need to make the claim.

The system is utterly appalling.
