The number is cancelled and can not be used,Can not Recover my Account after Two-Step Verification Fails

My friend couldn't log on to the seller's center, so I helped him start the problem

When he try to log in his account, after enter the password, Amazno want he to "Enter verification code" for two-step verification, but the phone is cancelled and can not be used, so he can't receive the OTP code, to log in his account. he contacted the seller support team, they give a link to recover his account, to upload his identity document, to disable two-step verification, but go trough the process, the system ask to log in, but without OTP code, he can't login, so he can't upload identity document, so he can't disable two-step verification, so he can't login his account. Is there anyone can help he with this issue?

To clear the issue, he restate his problem:

1.he can't receive the OTP code for two-step verification, so i can't login his account.

2. seller support team give me a link to upload his identity document, to recover his account, to disable two-step verification.

3. But about this link to upload the document, he have to login acount with OTP Code first.

4. So he can't uplaod the document to disable two-step verification, he can't login my acount.

I think this is a system bug or logical trap, to recover acount still need OTP code, because he can't receive the OTP code, so he want to recover my account, if he can receive the OTP code, why he want to recover account to log in?

I HOPE that you did not do any of this 'help' for your friend on YOUR computer or phone.

If you did YOU are now linked to their disabled account and, as a result, your account is now at risk.

Have THEY opened any cases? I don't even know if a MOD could help since you are not the one with the problem -- though you MIGHT have problems of your own if you used your computer/phone.
