Amazon cancelled today's disbursement

Hello, I received an email from Amazon saying they have cancelled today's disbursement because the payment method on file is invalid.

I checked my card and nothing has changed, there is plenty of room on the card to charge to it. The expiration is still valid, it expires at the end of next month (September, 2023).

I removed that card for whatever reason and uploaded another. Now my disbursement says it will be sent on September 7th.

Why did this happen and can I talk to anyone at Amazon to get the disbursement sent earlier than 2 weeks from now?

If you miss a disbursement, it will roll over until the next scheduled disbursement.

Your payment will roll over to the next payment cycle. you may see the same credit card being honored by Amazon in some of our stores, but not in others. When you register in Amazon as a seller, it is necessary to enter an internationally chargeable credit card with a valid billing address located in an eligible country. Reach out to your financial institution to determine the countries your card is eligible to be used in. You can use different credit cards in various Amazon stores. For the list of accepted credit cards, go to Bank account and credit card information for your seller account.

Note: We do not accept alternative charge methods, such as prepaid credit cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems like PayPal.

Accepted credit cards

We accept the following credit cards:

  • American Express
  • Diners Club
  • Discover
  • JCB
  • MasterCard
  • Visa

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

I believe that is the issue; IIRC, others have reported the same problem when the expiry date is less than 2-3 months out.

The same thing happened to us on Monday 8/21/2023. They promised to transfer the money after 3 days, however nothing has happened so far, and we doubt if they are going to transfer the balance!
