Not Eligible for Featured Offer AS FBM seller

After browsing the web for countless hours, it appears I am not alone in this issue. It also seems that only the moderators in the forums are able to push the issue to the correct person to get it fixed. So here I am.

So Basically the issue is When I list the item as FBM then they are not showing Feature Offer option Like add to cart Button.

But When I list it the same item with same price as FBA then they are Showing the Feature Offer option Like add to cart Button.

On my Account there is no violation, no late Shipment, No Defeat rate means Everything is Fine. But facing that, kindly if you can solve that .. Please

Not Eligible for Featured Offer AS FBM seller

After browsing the web for countless hours, it appears I am not alone in this issue. It also seems that only the moderators in the forums are able to push the issue to the correct person to get it fixed. So here I am.

So Basically the issue is When I list the item as FBM then they are not showing Feature Offer option Like add to cart Button.

But When I list it the same item with same price as FBA then they are Showing the Feature Offer option Like add to cart Button.

On my Account there is no violation, no late Shipment, No Defeat rate means Everything is Fine. But facing that, kindly if you can solve that .. Please

That 'buy box' NOW Featured Offer (FO) is a mystery shrouded in fog and information clouded with misinformation and ALL of it is on purpose.

MANY items no longer even have a 'buy box' when Amazon is NOT selling the items.

Amazon will favor themselves and FBA sellers virtually 100% of the time because $$$$$ talks and THEY pay Amazon more.

Amazon will NEVER give a 'formula' or every con artist on the site would have the 'buy box' and the huge majority would be their friends offshore who specialize in black hat ops and hijacking ASINs.

My BB (FO) percentage hovers around the 1% to 5% area all the time. I still get sales every day and don;t really care what the number is.

I get cash from sales, not some pie in the sky number offered by Amazon and sales come from having products that buyers want.

Even better when AMAZON is NOT on an item because pricing is almost always BETTER for the sellers!

1. The Buy Box is not a right or a given. It is like the old Clairol TV add used to say, "Only your hairdresser knows for sure". Now just replace the hairdresser with Amazon. It is run by an Algorithm Bot that giveth and taketh away.

There can only be one Buy Box for each unique product. Sellers seem to enjoy it when they have it, and then complain when they do not. But remember, when a seller is disappointed with the loss of the Box, they seem to forget, another seller is happy with that loss, because it is their gain.

2. The Buy Box is used as a ploy to attract sellers into using FBA selling, however a lot of FBM sellers do get the Boy Box.

3. Hopefully you are not just selling one unique product, because sellers who do, using FBM, may never get the Buy Box. Remember, the number offerings does make a difference.

Our offerings vary from 30-50 thousand different products weekly and do have the Buy Box on about 10% weekly. The Buy Box comes and goes daily.

4. To me, the reality of the Buy Box is this. Yes, it is nice to have it, but there are other factors that are much important. We pay the Buy Box no mind. Having the lowest offering price works very well.

For 25 years Amazon has trained their buyers to know that the Buy Box offering may not be the lowest price offering. Simply by glancing to the right and finding the OTHER SELLERS TAB, it often shows sellers selling the same product for less.

As long as we show up in that OTHER SELLER section on the top of the three displayed, we are happy.

You have other sellers you share the BuyBox with. Not everybody can have the BuyBox at the same time for starters. There are many factors. Who knows? Watch and learn. Indeed as you observed Amazon values FBA over FBM for the BuyBox. Probably delivery terms play a role.

Based on your post, I understand that your listing doesn't have the add to cart future offer option.

The Featured Offer is an offer for new products that we display on a product detail page with an Add to Cart button that customers can use to add items to their shopping carts.

Becoming eligible for the Featured Offer doesn't guarantee that you will get featured. However, there are a few things that you can do to increase your chances:

  • Price your items competitively
  • Offer faster shipping and free shipping
  • Provide great customer service
  • Keep stock available

amazon is about making money so independent plans usually lose the buy box to professional sellers.

See what was already addressed. There is no guarantee. If it takes sales to establish pricing and sale rate and you are the only seller, this will take longer.

It's because amazon is going to show the offer that has 1 or 2 day shipping instead of your 7 day FBM offer. You have to lower your price around $1.50-$2 lower than FBA sellers.
