Did anyone else complete a survey from Amazon Seller Services in exchange for a $20 gift card, and then never receive it?

I hope all sellers are seeing this, along with the "solution" from Amazon support, and now know to NEVER take a survey for Amazon and NEVER trust their "incentives." Look how much they care when you don't get what you're promised--it's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to chase down what they promised you! What a joke.

The amount of time I've wasted on this BS amounts to more than $20. I'm not wasting anymore. So amazon got their data AND got to keep the $20. What a reputable company. So happy to be working WITH such an upstanding company with such helpful support staff.

Even though I have wasted so much time on this already, I decided to waste more by opening a ticket, as advised by Quincy from Amazon. Here is the answer I received back:

In regards to your concern, I regret to inform you that even though you completed the survey, it doesn't mean that you are already qualified. There is a qualification process for you to be chosen as the one who could receive the $20 Gift Card.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Please note the wording of the original email:

To help identify opportunities on improving your experience with selling on Amazon, we would like your feedback in a brief survey. We understand your time is valuable, and to show our appreciation, we will send you a $20 Amazon gift card once you qualify and complete the survey.

The survey may take up to 10 to 12 minutes to complete and will only be available for a limited time.

I COMPLETED IT! It took me 10 minutes to get through all the questions (there were a ton, I never would have sat through that without the promise of compensation).

So now the associate just answers back with "oh, you must not have qualified even though you completed it." totally unscrupulous behavior by Amazon.

DO NOT DO ANY SURVEYS FOR AMAZON!!!!!

I did the survey on the 6th. Then never heard anything. opened a ticket today. There response was below. I agree, Just another way for them to get data without paying for it.

"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,My name is Soumya, and it is a pleasure to assist you today.

I have reviewed your issue regarding receiving an email where you took the survey which says you will be receiving a 20$ gift card once you took it although you have not received the gift card in detail and I know this is very important for your business.

I have investigated on your issue in details and as per our investigation we have concluded that the email that you have received is a phishing scheme.

Hence, please discard the email you have received that promised you to provided a 20$ gift card once you took the survey and please update all your passwords of the Amazon selling accounts and buyer accounts.

I also took the survey a few weeks ago and never received my gift card. If this is a phishing scheme, that's very odd. I went through Amazon seller university to see if they typically send out these types of surveys before I completed the survey. Based on what I read in seller university, this survey seemed legitimate, which I why I went ahead and completed it. Sadly, it took me 45 minutes -- it was very extensive and I was trying to give the best answers to earn my gift card. Again, if this is a scheme, I'm not sure why seller university claims that these types of surveys are sent out sometimes and why mine seemed legitimate based on the seller university description. How would we ever determine which surveys are legitimate and which are not? The survey did not ask me any personal or identifying information. If it was not a scheme, on the other hand, then why did I not receive my gift card? As yours said, the description was that I would receive a gift card -- nothing about taking a survey and then seeing if I qualify to receive a gift card. Never again would I waste time on that. It's a scam whether it's "legitimate" or not.
