What is the difference between a closed listing and a deleted liisting
I have a policy violation and it says to close or delete the listing. I have not finished addressing the issue so i closed the listing. If i delete the listing the violation goes away but I still have to address the issue i am told by account health. This is confusing. If the violation is removed in account health it should not be an issue anymore. Can anyone explain?

Deleting the listing does not make the violation go away.

Hello @Seller_6L2mvvT9j3YPY
Thank you for the information provided regarding the current situation you are addressing. I understand you are looking to understand the difference between closing and deleting a listing.
When closing a listing, it is being placed as inactive, but generally kept in the inventory for future edits or product being sold. If a listing is still in your inventory, it can still receive violations as our team will assume intention to sell.
When deleting the listing, you are removing it entirely from your inventory. It is not going to be sold in the future. It is recommended to regularly review your inventory and remove any listings you are no longer selling.
Taking a delete action on a listing does not automatically resolve any violation you are attempting to address. If documentation or edits are needed, they will still be required even if the listing has been removed.
Please continue to refer to this thread with any other questions you have on this.
Best,
