Storage fee calculation

Hello everyone,

How you guys calculate the storage fees?

Are low sales numbers with high stored units numbers effected our storage fees?

For example i have a product automotive accessory which dimensions are;

Unit weight 0.421 pounds

Package dimensions 7.8 X 3.58 X 3.23 inches

i have 525 units stored on FC currently

and amazon fba calculator says;

Monthly storage cost per unit

$0.05

Average inventory units stored

525

Estimated monthly units sold

1

Storage cost per unit sold

$23.85

So according to that and answers that i get from amazon seller support my storage cost will be 0.05 x 525 = 26,25 dollars for total.

And i find it kinda low for that much units stored it seems to me like it can't be right. And also some other sellers told me the monthly sales will effect on that amount, but amazon said there is nothing with the sales just about the place my products occupy.

So please help me to break it down the storage costs.

Thanks

Hi @Seller_qGR598jBA5GNf,

Steve from Amazon here, thanks for reaching out here. In this situation, I recommend that you create a case to Seller Support and they can analyze specific ASINs and provide the Monthly Storage Fee breakdown. The fee takes into account the cubic feet that a certain ASIN take up in the warehouse which Seller Support can calculate.

I am also dropping some helpful resources below regarding storage fees for further review as well.

Monthly inventory storage fees

Product size tiers

If you run into any issues with the case to Seller Support, please let me know here.

Thanks,

Steve
