SO FRUSTRATED!

I'm so incredibly frustrated by Amazon's policies. I make jewelry with Austrian crystals. A few days ago, I listed a bracelet made with Capri blue Austrian crystals. My listing was flagged and removed for intellectual property policies because apparently capri blue is a registered candle scent. How is that possible? Capri blue is a blue shade that is manufactured by all of the crystal manufacturers. That is like saying one cannot use the word yellow anymore because someone trademarked the word yellow. I called Amazon and opened a case, spent hours on the phone just to receive an automated email, instructing me to remove Capri Blue from my listing. I've been selling on Etsy since 2012 and have never encountered so many issues!!

@Seller_SJhJ3IS5hqa5N Thank you for that question about your products and trademarked terms. Have you worked with seller support on that issue, and if so, what is the latest status of that listing?

Have you checked the status of that particular name/term? The United States Patent and Trademark Office offers resources to learn more about trademarks.

Yeah, Amazon is braindead when it comes to letting private companies "own" generic parts of the English language. I was on the phone for hours across several calls and lots of emails trying to use the word "fossil" in my listing that was modeled after a fossil of an extinct species. In the end, it was all a huge waste of time and I had to remove the word because the watch company Fossil owns the word fossil in the eyes of Amazon and people who eat glue by the gallon. Obviously I'm still sore about it.
