Compliance lag, Ul4200a Reese's law report not reviewed ater 15 days.

I submitted my second UL4200a passing report 15 days ago and have yet to hear anything. My product has been down for 6 months. I'd been given no reason why my first passing report was rejected, so I went through a different lab and submitted my second passing report on 10/18. It's now been 16 days. This is normally my busiest time of the year, and I cannot afford to be down much longer. This has already been the most frustrating process I've experienced. Can someone please help?

I was just told that my documents have been rejected, but my status in the submission platform says, "under review."

It has said "under review" for 18 days, now. But I was just told that I have to WAIT to see the status change to "rejected," THEN I have to RESUBMIT again, and wait indefinitely... again.

This is insane.

I see that you are experiencing some issues with a compliance submission and you would like some guidance on how to get this addressed. I am here to provide support through this process.

So that I can check the details, can you please provide me with the associated case ID? From there, I can work with the relevant teams to learn what may be the issue and what is required to resolve it.

I am looking forward to your response. The forums community and I are here to support you.

Wishing you the best,

Hi @Levi_Dylan_AmazonMy compliance docs were submitted on October 18th. They were rejected on Nov. 4th because of an error in the address line of the GCC. This simple, instantly correctable error caused me to have to resubmit and therefore wait an additional 15 day period for re-review. I normally sell about $1000/day this time of year, so that silly little error has now cost me roughly $20k, and Amazon roughly $3000 in fees. I was told the review process would take a maximum of 15 days. It has been 20... I've called seller support several times. Every time, they pretend to be sympathetic. They assure me that they will "escalate the issue to the internal team," and I will have an update very soon. That never happens. There has been no update. My product has been down since May. I've lost a total of at least $50k in sales because of the inefficiencies of the compliance review process. That means Amazon has lost roughly $7250 in fees for sales of my product. What is going on? Amazon can't want to lose $7250 over simple, correctable errors. There has to be an easier way to do this. Please help.

Here are a few case IDs for the issue:

Whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Levi,

I have been selling my home made, patented product on Amazon for 9 years. In that time I grew annual sales to a dependable 6 figures without any advertising. We were featured on The Bachelorette, Howard Stern, etc. and eventually achieved top sales ranking in the Gag gift category.

Lack of UL4200a compliance certification took my product down in May of this year. I had it tested/certified immediately, submitted the passing test results to Amazon, and was rejected without reason. The only information I was given in the rejection notice is shown below:

"The compliance documents that you submitted are not the documents we require. To move forward with the approval process, please submit a full test report from a ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. Please note that we are not looking for Technical Reports, Inspection Service Reports, Constructional Data Reports or Protocol Testing Reports for your products. "

I had the UL4200a test/certification performed by TUV SUD America (the largest ISO 17025 product testing company on Earth). When I told them about the rejection they couldn't believe it. They apologized and were very accommodating, making every possible change I suggested to get the test approved. We iterated the test format 6 times, adding new images, names of all the lab technicians, etc. and each and every time we re-submitted, we were rejected with the same cryptic message as shown above. I begged for an explanation from "consumer-buttoncell@amazon.com," multiple times, and of course, no response.

In November (6 months later) beyond frustrated and desperate, I sent the test results to Stephen Lee (small business ombudsman at the CPSC), and asked for advice. He figured out the problem...

TUV SUD America adds the heading "Technical Report," to all of their "Test Reports." Apparently that's just the way they do it, and no other professional organization on Earth has EVER had a problem with it. Stephen Lee suggested I ask TUV SUD to change the word, "Technical," to the word, "Test," and then resubmit.

TUV SUD made the change. I re-re-re-re-re-re-resubmitted, and voila... My listing is finally live again. But after having been down for 6 months my sales rank is now equal to that of a fresh product. I'm selling roughly 1/10th of what I usually sell this time of the year. So basically, I lost somewhere in the ballpark of $60k and all of my sales rank because Amazon's review team at "consumer-buttoncell@amazon.com," couldn't identify a passing test report merely because it had the word, "Technical," written in the heading.

Please look at the screenshot above to see the difference between how much I USUALLY sell per day this time of year, and how much I AM selling. It's surreal. Is there anything that can be done to restore my sales rank to where it was BEFORE Amazon first mistakenly rejected my test report?

Thanks for your help,

eddie

For this, I am engaging a Community Manager to review this further for you, as the above request is out of my realm of ability.

I hope you have a great rest of the day and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Wishing you the very best,
