Creating a variation, enrolling in vine, and merging
Greetings,
I have a product that comes in 5 pieces and it has reviews. On my next upcoming order I made an additional version which is just one of these 5 pieces. Naturally I will be making these into 2 variations, a 5 piece, and a 1 piece.
I am planning on enrolling the new 1 piece product into vine, since it has it's own sku and asin. However, I'm not sure how to go about merging the two products and making sure I don't lose current reviews while continuing receiving new reviews.
1. Would I be able to enroll in vine for the new 1 piece version and then immediately merge the listings, and will the vine reviews continue coming in after the merge on top of all my current reviews?
2. Or is it better to enroll the new 1 piece product into vine, wait for the reviews, then merge?
Obviously I want to stay with in any rules I might be missing.

You are going to have to confirm if what I am going to say is accurate. I am only speaking from experience.
You can merge the products and the reviews will keep coming in for your VINE product. That ASIN, seperately, was added into the VINE program and has dedicated units for just that purpose. Those reviews will continue to come in for that ASIN which will be a part of your combined review total...being that its a merged ASIN.
