We know this has been discussed in other threads but don't see any answers. Just need clarification from a mod, can't get any help through case creation.
This is a brand that we have created other listings for and we work closely with the manufacturer. Looking to create new listings for new flavors. We go through the normal process and get the following message:
We are currently not accepting applications for this product. To maintain a safe and trustworthy shopping experience, we restrict certain products from being listed or sold on Amazon. If the ability to list this product changes, you will be able to apply for approval to create ASINs for brand "xxxxxxx". We replaced brand with xxxxxxxx.
Can we find out the reason why not accepting applications for this product so we can relay that message to the manufacturer.
* Is it brand related, has it been registered, we have been told it isn't.
* Is it product type related (seasonings)
* Or whatever reason

The problem you do not see is simply the time of the year. At this time of the year Amazon slows way down on accepting new Sellers, new Brands, and new Products. Amazon does not want buyers to experience any problem they may or may not have that could be caused by these t areas. Things pick up after the start of the new year. This way sellers have 10 months of selling before next holiday season.

At this time, the only way to be able to list items in this category is if there is an option to Apply to Sell through Seller Central or if you have an established relationship with the brand to have them add you to their approved authorized reseller list through Brand Registry.
As the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction. You can find a link to the policy here.
