Confused with Amazon rating system! Please help!
One of my product had 3 ratings (two 5 stars rating but without images and comments, one with 2-stars rating and verified purchase but no images) the simple average of these 3 should have been 4 ratings but since it is a machine learning and weightage principal system, the average turned out to be 3.8, which I understood.
But today, I received one more 5 star ratings of verified purchase with positive comments and image. However, the average didn't changed a bit, it is still 3.8??!! but why???shouldn't it increase, at least a bit? the seller support is unable to answer any rational response, they just say it is machine learned and blabla.
Anyone help please, help me to understand this.

So, today you have a total of 3 ratings and 1 review. According to the average rating numbers you should have sold about 150 units. Did you? The last review is maybe not taken in count because the system has to verify first if you are somehow related to that review. Let's hope not because Amazon would suspend your account.
Generally said it's completely useless to contact seller support about the count and the percentages. The rating of a longtime faithful customer counts more than the rating of a new buyer.

I you received the review today, it would not surprise me if it takes a few days for it to get through the system to affect the average. Most things happen slowly on Amazon, unless it's bad.
Let us know in a couple of days if anything changes or not.

Hello! @Seller_ryqfMO0HLh8yc
Thank you for using the Forums. I understand this can be a confusing subject, specially because the information on how this calculated is very limited. I know you have been provided with general information from Seller Support, but that is the information that is available to us, the ratings are calculated using automated machine learning.
See the section below on "How we calculate overall star ratings":

Thanks,
