AMAZON FBA shipping time

I sent my first product to amazon for FBA thinking that shipping time would be faster, but since it got there it shows shipping date of August 20-22, what is the point of FBA if the shipping takes this long? can I get faster shipping or prime? I am not exactly sure how the whole FBA thing works so any help would be appreciated.

Is it possible that your inventory is still in the process of being transferred from the receiving fulfillment center to other FCs across the country? You should be able to see these transfers in the inventory ledger report.

Has your shipment been fully received? It appears that your shipment is still in the receiving status with the "In-Stock Head Start" feature enabled. (Amazon has a prediction system that allows you to sell your product ahead of time.)

If that’s the case, once your shipment is fully received, the expected delivery date will adjust to normal

Amazon sometimes shows a late shipping day in the beginning. It should go down gradually until arrival will be two days.

Greetings @Seller_8m2Vs6OC510lL,

Checking in here to see if you've seen a drop in your shipping time. As others mentioned the timeline you were seeing may have been a result of your inventory not yet being fully received. Amazon may also initiate FC transfers to move inventory to across the network to generate better delivery times. Let me know!
