A Few Comments About Selling Used Books

I have had a small store on Amazon for 21 years. I sell mostly collectible & out-of-print scifi & fantasy books, as well as some magazines & puzzle books plus other used books.

Today I started created new listings for the first time in about 6 months, and I've noticed a few things that are making it more difficult than before. I should mention that I list my books manually.

As far as I can see, there is no longer a "Have One to Sell?" on any of the product pages. I have to use "Add a Product." Then, almost every title requires approval! Most of the time it says that there are no approvals for now, but I get one anyway. After that, I would usually look at the prices of existing offers to help price my own item, but those lists are now hidden and/or out of order, and it doesn't say which edition they are. Finally, pricing is more out of control than ever. For out-of-print books and vintage books, someone may be charging $999 for a book that is worth maybe $12. Or, someone has undercut all the other prices, causing the item to be removed unless I price it at $1 or $2, which I won't. I move those books to another platform, but they may never sell because this platform is the main one! Just feeling frustrated.
