RELATED ACCOUNT DUE TO A FORMER EMPLOYEE

"You have been found to be related to an account beginning with X.

We received your submission but do not have enough information to reactivate your account at this time.

To reactivate your account, please provide evidence that you once owned the account or had account rights but no longer own it or no longer have account rights by providing supporting documentation. This includes but is not limited to sales deed, purchase agreement, business transfer agreement, or contract termination."

Our account has been suspended due to related another account. I figured out that my former employee is the owner of that account and he used to use his email to logging or receive information on both accounts. His account was suspended a few months ago and he cannot get it back. My appeal has been rejected multiple times as mentioned above. The latest time, I show the proof that we are no longer in working relationship, including:

  • MY PASSPORT
  • LABOR CONTRACT
  • RESIGNATION DECISION
  • TRANSACTION FROM BANK
  • A SCREENSHOT FROM MY CASELOG THAT THE PRIMARY EMAIL WAS HIS EMAIL (when we still hire him)
  • A SCREENSHOT FROM THE RELATED ACCOUNT SHOWS THIS EMAIL IS ONE OF CURRENT USERS (I get this from him)

I checked all settings on my seller account to make sure that there is none of his information on my store. I also call support and do all their advice but it keeps being rejected.

Has anybody had the same issues and found a way to get through it? Thank you.

I understand your account has been deactivated due to an established relationship with another account. I would like to provide you with insight into the applicable policies and resources for you to utilize as you work to reactivate your account.

Per Amazon's Seller Code of Conduct and Multiple Selling Accounts policy, all sellers are permitted to operate one selling account unless there is a legitimate business need for more than one. Such a need includes having a separate brand or are recruited for an Amazon program which requires sellers to create a new account. Even when permitted to have multiple accounts, all of them must remain in good standing and active. If one of the accounts is deactivated, then all subsequent accounts will also be deactivated and remain so until the root of the issue is resolved.

Even if a seller does not own a second account, there are situations in which personal information or data can be shared between the accounts. This would establish a relationship between them, thus causing them to be subjected to the policy cited above.

Is this the only information from your employee that was present on your account? Did you and this employee share the same device? Was there ever any permissions given to this employee, for your account?

I ask these questions because it is important to remove any details that are not your own from your selling account. I also recommend changing your passwords and other crucial security information to further show this person can no longer gain access.

Do your documents meet the following requirements?

  • Be valid (not expired, revoked, inactive or closed).
  • Be high resolution and unobstructed (clear, readable, visible and in focus).
  • Be complete and not cut off from any sides (not angled or cropped).
  • Be a scanned image or photo of the original document taken from your mobile device's camera.
  • Display the full document (front and back, if applicable).
  • Be less than 50MB in size.
  • Be in one of these formats: TIF, TIFF, PNG, JPG, PDF, and JPEG. Do not include special characters in the file name (examples: $, &, or #).
  • Be authentic and unaltered.
  • Must not be password-protected.
  • Be in one of these supported languages: Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. If your documents are not in a supported language, you must submit a notarized translation in a supported language along with the original document.

I also suggest ensuring you are thoroughly explaining the situation in its entirety when submitting your documentation. This will include the date of when the relationship began, the name and other relevant information for this employee of yours, what that person did while on your account, and the date when the employment ended. I would like to emphasize that there must be as much detail as possible here as you will need to communicate the entire situation to the team who reviews your appeals.

If you need further support or have questions, please continue to utilize this thread. The forums community and I are here to support you.

All the best,

Stevie
