FBA received more items that I sent

FBA created on Oct 19, 2023 received more than the amount of items I sent. Its impossible!

The last FBA inbound shipment received in full but with more than the amount of products I sent. One of the four ASINs shown as received twice and other more than triple. Really, what is going on???

Its not fair, in the last two months Amazon lost one of our shipments and now this. Should I start worrying, what is going to happen?

On the other hand, we were notified that this shipment was already available in inventory, however, in addition to the quantities not corresponding, the quantities of the ASINs shipped are not available because they have been in transit between warehouses for at least 2 weeks.

Don't worry about it; nothing you can do anyway.

Usually this will get sorted out before the shipment is "Closed". OTOH, I did have one time where this happened and never got fixed; then when those extra (non-existent) items were ordered, Amazon couldn't find them, and reimbursed me for them. So it was a win for me (helps make up for the lost stuff that got reimbursed pennies on the dollar).

Same thing here...I had a whole shipment doubled. They have since fixed most of it, but not before a some of them sold twice. Now those doubled orders are just sitting in pending. Amazon's system seems more broken than ever. It's awful.

It is not impossible. Amazon will find extra items all the time! They will also find empty boxes even though you sent in items. Happens all the time. When they find extra items it will sort out but when they find an empty box you are out of luck! You only need to worry when they find an empty box.

Nisha got it right. This will sort itself out. You'll just drive yourself crazy chasing discrepancies like this. I am not saying you have lost anything, but if you can't afford to outright lose about 2% of your inventory ( and total damages/return/losses of about 5%) I'd say FBA is not right for you.

You always have the ability as well for the team to research the additional units through the shipment contents tab.

Best,

Dominic
