Multiple FNSKU Labels on product
Hi Guys
I am a new seller and can use this forum to help get through this stage. Thank you in advance for reading and helping with your best of the knowledge.
My product was ready and went for inspection. The inspector has identified that the FNSKU on JAR is curved so cannot be read via a smartphone barcode reader. While the same barcode can be read when it is flat. Currently, it is sized in 70 MM (see attached picture)
My supplier can print and apply the 40 MM labels on the jar top so it can be flat but what I would like to know is whether is okay to keep the old barcode as is and just apply the new one or if we need to remove the current ones and apply the new ones?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards

This is true. If you go into any retail store and look as curve products, you will find the barcode is always placed in the Up-Down direction which always works or made smaller. I/m surprised your supplier doesn't know that, and you should be too. The product purchased has a defect now.
Another solution would be to exchange the size of the barcode and the text. This may be a more logical choice in promoting the product. Print a separate product/brand name yourself with a fancy nicer label nnd a small barcode would look nicest.
