Main image working but not what shows on search results
Hi everyone,
I'm new to Amazon so I could be missing something very obvious. I've checked everything possible to figure out why this is an issue and coming back with no answers.
I have a listing that has variations. All images are working as they should, with the exception of the main image in search results. Regardless of what I search, the wrong variation image shows in the search results. I'm concerned this is impacting on sales as I would prefer what I believe would be the most popular colour variation to be the one that shows in the search results. I have the correct image set as the main image on the parent listing, however, the first ASIN under the parent listing in my inventory seems to override this. I cannot find a way to reorder or a way to resolve the issue. Can anyone point out where I'm going wrong please?

What I see with variation listings is that Amazon show the most appropriate image in the search results.
For example if you have purple, blue and green widgets and search for purple widgets then they show you the purple image.
Sometimes though this is not what you want. I don't think you can do much to always show the parent image as Amazon will just show the image they think is most appropriate to a customer.
