AMAZON NOW ALLOWS REVIEW BRIBES? Sellers Offering $10 Gift Cards for Positive Reviews - Even the SAS Team Does Nothing!
I’m baffled. We reported a seller blatantly violating Amazon’s review policies- offering $10 Amazon gift cards in exchange for positive reviews. This was confirmed through test orders, and even some reviews openly mention these gift card offers! The Premium Services - SAS team acknowledged the report, looked into it, and… nothing happened.
So, is this the new standard? Can we all start incentivizing reviews with gift cards now? Is this a new, unspoken rule that nobody informed us about?
If not, why is this seller being given a free pass? It’s completely unfair to those of us who play by the rules while others exploit these tactics without consequences.
Amazon, please clarify: Are we now allowed to exchange gift cards for positive reviews?

If not, why isn’t action being taken? This sets a dangerous precedent and undermines trust in your platform.

This has been going on for years.
Many instances reported here over time, but, according to those posters, nothing is done about it (as in your case).
Probably involves - at least in part - Chinese sellers, and we all know the story behind that.
Too late. Trust L-O-N-G gone.

Hello @Seller_Vtilihwrv70WP,
Thanks for posting to the Forums. I've reviewed the detail of this issue and see that you have reported this in case 16669057121. In their response, Seller Support took action to report this on your behalf and action was taken against the Seller, as offering gift cards for positive reviews is not allowed on the Amazon platform.
If you see any more of these types of offers, please continue to report these using the Report a Violation tool in Seller Central.

I get these offers all the time from the Chinese sellers who sell hair extensions. The offers usually come in the mail separately from the Amazon delivery. How they get my address...I don't know, but they have their ways I suppose.

Am sure they are legit. here is the "about us" on their fake website. Orci ac integer proin ultrices platea. Amet purus arcu ac consectetur sollicitudin dui dignissim. Ullamcorper etiam porttitor id enim leo sed malesuada.

they are offering a giftcard for ANY review, not just a positive one. I think that is the catch. Nowhere on that voucher do they say that they want POSITIVE REVIEWS

Good Point. But still illegal. The QR code opens an email. A way to get your personal email.
