NEW FORUM
HI All
I'm sorry if this is a silly question. I always followed the forum, since I started to sell on Amazon 7 years ago. I actually was helped by sellers a couple of times. I do not understand however what is the practical difference that makes some of the sellers not being here and continue to provide better support that SS. Someone could explain me please? Is nothing against the new names I see but we need all help we can have from all experienced sellers as Amazon support is horrendous

Hi T-H-C
There were many reasons why previous posters left before the new forum was started.
Tthe main ones seemed to be that they didn't want their previous anominised comments to be connected to their Business Name - they were concerned about being 'attacked' for responses that irritated other sellers, or they didn't feel they had the right to express personal views on behalf of their business, or nthey would need to check with the other owners before expressing an opinion etc.

The biggest issue for some sellers is that they are now publicly identifiable via their profile which links to their store name.
Some sellers do not want to carry on giving advice as if they give advice which someone is not happy with they fear that their store maybe targeted.
Others do not want to discuss matters relating to suppliers and Amazon when their seller name is visible.
Others fear that competitors may copy their product range if a seller makes a comment about how well their products sell.
There are other reasons too but most of them come down to sellers not now being allowed to be anonymous.
There will still be experienced sellers on here but maybe not the number that there were previously.

Over in the US Forums (we've had this for a while now) major posters have left in droves. Both posts, and helpful response, has gone to a trickle of what was posted before.
Hopefully things will be OK here, but I wouldn't bet the farm.
This format is much harder to use and doesn't entice one to post the helpful type threads we saw before.

Also, a lot of forum members work for larger companies, they are giving advice as an individual, not as the company.
If you imagine that ‘Bill’ gives advice under his company name, that company could then be liable for any advice ‘Bill’ gives.

Thank you very much to All of you. That makes sense and I totally understand and agree with all statements. Unfortunately we, as sellers, will be the ones losing again. For many of us, the only support we have is from fellow sellers.
Good luck to everyone. Me included

That’s why Amazon are so useless, happy for folk to do their job for free for them.

Well, some of us have still remained. However, we've just moved over to this new forum this morning and whilst I have to say that changes are sometimes welcome, they have not been in this case.
Whoever designed this new forum format should really spend some time in darkened room with a couple of paracetamol and a glass of water because this new format will create a whole heap of headaches for anybody using it.

It'll become like the bad old days of the other place, where buyer and seller reciprocal negative feedback for each other. Then they decided sellers could no longer leave negative or neutral feedback.
I've also noticed that messaging here is now "censored" so there are certain things that can't be said.
