FBA Inbound Performance problem investigation
Dear Amazon Team @James_Amazon
I need your help to finally remove this error from my FBA Inbound Performance.
Case ID: 17252680791 – Barcode Cannot Be Scanned
Case ID: 17740350101 Barcode Cannot Be Scanned
I understand the importance of meeting Amazon’s FBA requirements and always strive to follow them precisely. However, I respectfully disagree with the defect assessment related to this shipment.
As shown in the images I provided, the barcodes on my products were printed using high-quality thermal printing. Specifically:
The labels are clear, sharp, and fully legible
All barcode elements, including the last line, are intact and scannable
Labels were securely applied—no folds, smudging, or damage
I ensured all SKU labels were properly attached, scannable, and clearly visible before shipping. The images I submitted clearly demonstrate compliance with Amazon’s labeling policies.
I kindly request a thorough review of the provided evidence and a reconsideration of this defect. If necessary, please escalate this case to the appropriate team for further evaluation.
Thank you for your support and attention to this matter. I look forward to your resolution.
Best regards,
Busy Bee Unlimited

We’ve also been receiving repeated “Barcode cannot be scanned” defect notifications since around April 2025 for items that were previously accepted without any issues.
As shown in the image below, our ASIN B0D3LY9XBF packaging includes a clearly printed, compliant UPC barcode that is permanently affixed and easily scannable. Anyone can verify that when they move their cell phone camera over our original barcode in the posted image below, a link pops up to correct Amazon product page.
Yet for some reason, Amazon flagged shipment FBA18X1Z8SFX with the defect and applied its own barcode label.
What’s puzzling is that multiple shipments with this same packaging and barcode were previously received without any problems—only this one was flagged.
We’ve also received the same defect for other shipments of different products that all seem to have compliant barcodes:
- FBA18T4L0Z3Q
- FBA18WD6H0WT
- FBA18X64CRF7
Can anyone suggest how to resolve this, or how to escalate the issue to someone who can verify that our packaging complies with FBA labeling requirements?
Any help is appreciated!
