Inbound single carton shipment- received then transferred- is that the entire shipment?

Created: Aug 20, 2024 ID: FBA18BGV3X92 Case ID 16329291351

Hello All- I need help!

We have a single carton shipment that was shipped to RDU4. It shows as checked in, received, and then TWO Fulfillment center transfers. DET3 (PONTIAC, MI) then RMN3 (FREDERICKSBURG, VA)

This is on the Shipment Summary>Shipment events tab.

Does this mean the entire BOX was moved to two other locations?

Reason I ask: This box weighed 18 pounds, measured 18x18x11. 12 skus, 267 units. Neatly packed and box sealed with kraft carton tape.

Shipment was closed with defects. Only ONE 1-ounce item was located with "Inaccurate item quantity in box" for 266 units.

Case 16329291351 was closed, with decision upheld that there were multiple defects.

We have an excellent in-house work flow, including procedure sheets, inventory tracking slips, bar codes, etc. Product is in inner cartons inside the shipping box. So I AM SURE WE PUT THE ITEMS in the Carton.

We do try to limit the sku count, and piece count per shipment. Of course the more shipping boxes, the more expense.

And now, we are required to accept (apologize) for the defect. We can submit invoices for the products that are lost, but the product cost is only a fraction of the cost of the kitting, prep, labeling time my employees do each day. We ship 4 days a week to FBA. So I paid two employees for a day of worthless work. And I don't get paid, since we effectively lost sales on 266 units.

Total loss is estimated at $660 product + $66 freight and inbound placement fees + $200 labor costs, so about $926.00 in actual costs.

Could anyone offer advice? Thank you in advance!

Greetings @Seller_88RcfT62249f7,

Thanks for posting! To your original question, the transfer likely would have been for the entire box to be moved to DET3 and RMN3. I see the case you opened with Seller Support was with our FBA prep team, are you able to request an investigation into shipment FBA18BGV3X92 via the Contents tab of the shipment? This cuts a case with the team that owns investigations for missing inventory, though the date to request the investigation may still be in the future (to allow time for transfer to potentially complete without issue).

Let me know if you've done so already and we can evaluate next steps!
