FBA removal order attempted freight delivery to residential address
After Christmas I did a removal order of about 500 lightweight items. Total weight should've been less than 80lbs. I've been doing removal orders for years and they've always came in manageable boxes, delivered to my house, and left on the porch by UPS or Amazon.
Today I got a call from AF Freight. They have a pallet from Amazon returns and wanted to scheduled a delivery time. I thought that was weird but told them they could leave the pallet in the driveway. I'll park on the street when I get home and unpack it. No can do, they explained. They only deliver it. They don't unload. And there's no lift gate on the truck.
After some back and forth questions, I realized there's no way I could 1) be home, 2) manage to remove a pallet off a truck by myself. I'm a smallish middle aged woman here. Boxes I can do, but a wrapped pallet that's about 80 lbs? I had no choice but to refuse the delivery.
What happens next? Will Amazon send it the normal way or dispose of the entire inventory?

Hi @Seller_xBNzex5rWULmA,
Let me share what I found in the help documentation that explains what happened and what to expect next.
According to the removal order overview page, under "Removal order packing and shipping", Amazon determines the shipping method based on quantity: "Large quantity removals originating from the same fulfillment center are boxed and consolidated on pallets and shipped by freight carrier."
The same help page lists important freight delivery restrictions:
"Pallets can only be delivered to a shipping dock or similar facility" and "Carriers charge you directly for any extra services beyond the basic delivery" - which explains why they couldn't provide liftgate service to your residential address.
Regarding what happens next: The help page states that "If it cannot schedule delivery, an Amazon team member will contact you to help resolve the issue." However, there's something important to keep in mind - under "Ensure successful delivery", the documentation mentions that if the designated recipient doesn't receive the units all at once, Amazon may instruct the carrier to dispose of them at your expense.
I'd recommend reaching out to Seller Support right away to discuss alternative delivery options before any decisions are made about the refused shipment.
Hope this helps explain the situation!
Best regards, Michael
