How Iām Finding What to Sell in Europe ā Sharing My Process š®š³ā”ļøšŖšŗ
Hi doston š
Iām Ankit, from Bangalore (my first post here!). Recently decided to enter the European Amazon market ā felt like the right move, especially with all the trade tensions going on with the US.
Iāve been figuring out a step-by-step way to find which products are worth launching in Europe. Thought Iāll share it here ā maybe it helps someone, and Iād love to hear your inputs too.
Simple steps that i follow to find good product for Europe:
1. Pick ASIN - Just choose a product youāre already selling or something you think can work well.
2. Avoid risky products - dangerous goods (hazmats, unless youāre approved, Amazon wonāt let you sell them)
⢠Avoid bulky/oversize items ā shipping headache + extra costs
3. Check demand
⢠Go to Amazon.de (Germany site) or Amazon.co.uk (UK(
⢠Search for same/similar product
⢠Check monthly sales on the ASIN page (they often write something like "500+ units sold last month")
4. Price check - compare your productās price with similar ones on Amazon.de or UK. If it doesnāt make sense profit-wise, skip.
5. Competition check
⢠Don't start where Amazon itself is selling
⢠Count the number of sellers ā if more than 3 sellers with similar price, maybe not worth it
6. Check customer reviews - go through some reviews from EU buyers ā youāll learn what they like, what they hate. Very useful.
7. Risks to think about
⢠Youāll need to handle VAT (GST like, tax stuff in EU)
⢠Also look into environmental and customs (if your product falls under packaging, electronics, etc).
Iām still learning, but this process has saved me from choosing wrong products. If youāre also selling in Europe or thinking of it ā would love to hear your experience.
Cheers,
Ankit
