bulk edit listing descriptions
Hi, I'm trying to update my listing descriptions in bulk. I uploaded my Active Listings Inventory Report and updated my listings description for 1 of the listings (testing so I don't mess up any other listings). I then uploaded the spreadsheet but nothing updated in the listing. I also noticed the bullet points in my description column was in my active listings inventory report. I'm not sure what step I'm missing or if I'm approaching this wrong.

I use a Category Listing Report which is more conclusive and you can update everything that way.
The problem is that I have noticed for 2 weeks that all of my info has been wiped on the report for all handmade listings so I contacted support. After too many unintelligent copy and paste responses from support, I had to get a resolution specialist involved via chat and they told me that all of my handmade data is "missing" from the backend which is why my report is also missing data. They are currently working to figure out what happened. In the meantime, my sales have plummetted and all of my sales data numbers are pointing to the day that I discovered my data missing from the report..
Also, when I attempted to upload a new report with all missing data included, it did not change anything as it was supposed to so there is definitely something going on in the backend that is causing data to not update and then go "missing".
You may want to download a report to see if your data is there.

Hello @Seller_npiU0JPYBarDM,
Michelle at Amazon here. I understand that you are trying to update your listing information. The best way to do it in bulk is with the category specific inventory files. When updating, if you have more than one SKU, make sure that you are using the SKU that you created your listing with. If you have any questions, Selling Partner Support can take a look for you, just ensure that you provide them with the batch ID so they can se any errors that you are experiencing. If they are not able to assist you, please send me the case ID so I can take a look.
I hope this is helpful!
Regards,
Michelle
