Changing Browse Node Path / Product Category

Hey Guys,

Recently I noticed a drop in sales of some of my more popular items. After spending some time looking into this I noticed the browse node path/product category was incorrect. Some of them are in some random category not even close to the item and some don't even have one at all. These listings are all over a year old and this change just recently happened for some odd reason. While I can still find some of them in search results (using all categories) others I cannot find at all.

I've tried adjusting it from the edit page but to no avail. So I created cases for these items with all the info and even sent screenshots of the listings showing the incorrect or missing path/category. The first response I get from support is that they will submit the request to their experts for review. Almost immediately after I get a response stating (almost seems automated):

We've reviewed your suggestion and are unable to accept the suggested category browse node change to ASIN: XXXXXXX. This product is assigned to the current category based on the detail page and how Amazon customers find products through search and browse.

I've used this same process several times in the past (at least six months ago) to fix this same issue and it has always worked but no longer is. Has anyone else experienced this recently and has tried something that has worked?

Thanks all!

Good Morning @Seller_bliXWCfvkzcst, I wanted to stop by and check in with you on this discussion. I see that you filed 2 support cases with Selling Partner Support on February 5, 2024 regarding browse node changes and they were approved a few hours later.

Are you seeing those changes on your end now? Please advise if this issue has been resolved or if you are still experiencing browse node problems, provide us with the latest Selling Partner Support case ID.

Looking forward to hearing any updates you might have. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend. Cheers, Cooper_Amazon
