Search Suppressed

I created a listing six years ago. Now my listing is suppressed, with the error "'[product_description]' is required but not supplied.". The changes I make to this item have no effect on the status of the listing. Support keeps telling me to wait 24 hours. I have tried making changes through editing the listing, through template file, deleting, adding, waiting 48 hours, nothing helps. I really need help!

Dear Amazon Team,

My account is suspended, and I am unsure why. Your representative (From UAE Marketplace) told me that it was because of my US account. Amazon US asked me for the utility bills that I provided but still my account was not activated.

This is the message I got, which is not fair. I have not violated any Amazon policy, this is just a misunderstanding

"We received your submission but we are unable to reactivate your account. Upon review of your account, we confirmed that your Amazon seller account has been used to engage in deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity that harms our customers, other selling partners, and our store."

There were no policy violations communicated to me as well. Please help in resolving this and let me know what needs to be provided from my side

My main account at all market places is "No Brainer Online" and mostly I have signed up as an individual at every market place. Only for UK I signed up as a business but with the same name and provided my business documents as well as I have registered a UK based offshore company.

My store front is same at both Amazon UAE and US, i.e. “Emaginia”, If that is the issue, I am not using Amazon US and I may close that account

I only tried Amazon US once and not even using it anymore

I have only invested in Amazon UAE and selling is UAE market only

I am not provided with any specific correct reasons and how I may fix it and messages that I am getting from Amazon, as mentioned above; are like I have committed some crime. It is very heartbreaking that Amazon is treating their new sellers this way.

I know there can be an understanding issue at our end that can be fixed with proper guidance. I just invested almost USD 5000 in my Amazon Seller account UAE, and this is what I got.

Please help me with this, for now; I am not even using any other account, only Amazon UAE.

Support answers with standard phrases and does not help in any way. I know they can fix it in 2 minutes, but no one reads and doesn't look into the problem.

Amazon AI found something in the product description it didn't like. Open a case and ask for catalog help. If they suck, call and ask for catalog help, they should be able to tell you what was wrong in the bullet points. Just needs to be edited, I'm sure it's something stupid, but, hey that's how the catalog crumbles lol

Amazons catalog, like their support employees, are a joke. Constant battles with things being flagged for ridiculous pretend reasons. Images, bullets, descriptions disappearing. Then you get the gaslighting from support when you do your best to fix THEIR mistakes. Then they tell you to get BR when you have it, and then have to try to get them to understand that doesnt impact anything. Then they blame other sellers. Then you explain you are the only seller and if someone maliciously did that it would be a marketplace violation and illegal. Then they eventually either blame you or just stop responding.

I've been emailing support for a week, I've been getting standard instructions that don't work. But, it came Amazon Brand Registry Support, after another request to my listing would be fixed and all changes were applied within 2-3 hours, the listing started working again. Thanks!

Yeah, that has never resolved the issue for us and we currently have 50+ that are suppressed. Neither has through the Search Suppressed page for that matter, nor has uploading a file. So, there they all sit, unsearchable, in all their glory.

First Amazon needs to acknowledge a problem actually exists and unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime in the near or distant future.

Be careful, because when Amazon did this to us they removed the weights from the items, causing our shipping template to be inaccurately applied and we lost money on the shipping as we have a per pound charge. Their resolution was that "we didn't have a weight entered for the item," which we did, but they removed it. They had search suppressed one of our brands entirely, for no reason that they ever explained. They have "safe-listed" us for this brand now but still several items that have the suppression still in place. No matter what you do you will not be able to edit the listing and get it to accept the description--you will need to open a case with Amazon.

It's been going on for years. Hundreds and hundreds of my listings gone kaput. They say to delete the listing, wait 24 hours and then call seller support and have them redo it with you, then there are some specific changes that only they can do. Who has time for that? Just finding a support rep that understands you and that you can understand takes a dozen calls. More than that for me. It is an impossible situation.

First Amazon needs to acknowledge a problem actually exists and unfortunately, I don't see that happening anytime in the near or distant future.

Be careful, because when Amazon did this to us they removed the weights from the items, causing our shipping template to be inaccurately applied and we lost money on the shipping as we have a per pound charge. Their resolution was that "we didn't have a weight entered for the item," which we did, but they removed it. They had search suppressed one of our brands entirely, for no reason that they ever explained. They have "safe-listed" us for this brand now but still several items that have the suppression still in place. No matter what you do you will not be able to edit the listing and get it to accept the description--you will need to open a case with Amazon.
