Drawbacks of Amazon MFN Gold
Hello Amazon & Sellers,
somedays back amazon has introduced Amazon MFN Gold, in which auto authorisation and reufnds are done by amazon itself by just doing the pickup and not even waiting for us to check the product when we receive it back. Amazon this feature will definitely boost fraud buyers.
Ofcourse we have safe-T claim option, so all we have to do is stop doing any productive work and keep yourself engaged in doing safe-T claim procedures.
Somedays back i was told by an amazon seller support executive that there is an option if you do not want to participate in MFN gold then you can opt out, but despite that we got an auto authorised return today, upon inquiring again with s s e, he said that MFN gold has become mandatory.
We would also be getting genuine returns who are actually not fraud buyers, but again in those cases also, the customer would be refunded fully. Otherwise at times we used to deduct shipping charges atleast.
Another point, due to 30 days return policy, some products would be returned after our GST filing dates are gone, So if you don’t take care then you would have to bear GST losses also, otherwise in previous cases we were able to deduct GST if needed in extreme cases for the product and do the refunds.
One more point, For any product if it’s expedited we have approx 5 days to deliver and in standard shipping approx 7-12 days( delivery days depends on remote location also), but when it comes to the MFN gold return timings to the seller, it’s deadline is 15 days as said by Seller support executive. And i received 2 of my auto authorised shipments in 14-15 days… So the product boomerangs to us by approx 15-25 days.
So to sum up MFN Gold, We would be dead sellers, or move to FBA, that’s what they want.

This is a absolute joke played out by amazon. How can amazon auto authorise the returns without sellers consent? Who will bear the courier charges and amazon charges paid by the seller.
The sellers don’t even have the right or opportunity to find out what is the problem with the product. The
safe-T claim is generally not entertained if its self ship.
Amazon is forcing sellers to stop self ship and move to FBA. This is only with the intention of increasing amazons revenue.
If this nonsense called MFN gold is not stopped its not worth the effort to sell on amazon.

This policy killed my small scale business and took my happiness away. I am married and was somehow managing to make 10k to 12k per month for my hand to mouth. After MFN I already incurred loss for 6 of my expensive covers (Samsung original covers ranging between 2-4k).
Buyers are returning the products on or before return time limit and sending old used products. Some of my products are still with ATS for around 10 days. The are keeping return with them for no reason.
Not able to file Safe-T claim before 30 days. Frequent refund initiate mails driving me crazy. I have to deactivate my account with no other option left.
Amazon is forcing us to use FBA or Easy Ship to earn profits from COD reject orders. I started hating this country now.

Now we cannot ship through our own couriers as well that is starting tomorrow ie 24.07.2019
We have to get new couriers or switch to easy ship.
Helmets sellers like us also suffering we have to deal with volumetric weight issue from the top couriers we have been paying purely on weight basis.
