Account Status Validation and pending

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are doing well!

A few days ago, I created my Amazon Seller Central account (Individual) in the UK market. The account was successfully created and verified. I chose one product and shipped it to Amazon.

Amazon successfully received my products, and I can see an active inventory in my Seller Central account.

Now there are several issues with Account Health.

1) Amazon is asking for VAT registration. I emailed Amazon that I am exempted from VAT since my income has not reached GBP 85000 as per UK law. Then they asked me for an evidence document. So which document should I provide them with?

2) In the FIX Standard Inventory, I have the reason “Please verify your account status”. I am not getting this point as my account is already verified and has an active listing. Then what type of account status Amazon is talking about?

3) Listing error in the FBA Inventory page. What does this mean?

4) I only want to sell my products in the UK market how can de-register other markets such as Germany, France, Italy and other European countries?

There are so many confusions, and I am not getting of them.

Please help me as this is my first listing and I am stuck over here, and my motivation level is going down.

Please help me with your expert knowledge and experience 🙏 what should I do, how can I move further?

Many thanks

Lots of questions you need to clarify here, I am afraid.

Are you resident (live) in UK ? - if not then you DO need to be VAT registered here as the £85,000 threshold only applies to UK residents, not if you actually live elsewhere. If you are not a UK resident but are storing goods here in UK for FBA - then again, you do need to be VAT registered.

If you are living in UK and are selling new goods for profit then you must be registered with HMRC as self-employed (probably sole-trader) and have an Amazon BUSINESS seller account, and have given Amazon your UTR.

You say you created your account just a few days ago - I cannot believe that it is fully verified yet, as all the checks and verification take quite a while at the moment - both personal ID and business info checks.

Also, you said 'Individual account'. Do you actually mean Individual Account (the legal entity), or the individual selling plan ? - they are two different things. With the Individual ACCOUNT you can only sell off your own personal second-hand items, not new goods. The individual selling PLAN is where you do not pay the £30 monthly fee, but an extra small fee per sale - so which do you have ?
