I ship my own orders & Amazon is promising my customers same day shipping even though I don't offer that service
About a month ago I received an email from Amazon saying that they were making changes to FBM and some packages will have a 0 day handling time, if you want to change that, go to the order fulfillment settings.
I don't do any same day shipping, and i do not offer prime shipping. Ever since the new change, Amazon has been marking my orders as needing to be shipped the same say they came in!!!
My handling time is set to 1 day:

I do not offer same day shipping or prime shipping, but these are my settings:

For "same day delivery" Amazon will not let me choose to opt out anywhere, the earliest time it would allow for cut off is 9am, but I don't want to offer same day delivery at all!
Premium ship options: I don't offer this AT ALL but Amazon makes me choose something and the earliest time they will allow is 2pm.
0-day handling time: I have my settings set to a ONE DAY handling time, but Amazon makes me choose a time here or the settings won't save. The earliest I could choose was 1am.
I just received an expedited order today at 12:29pm and amazon says I must ship it today. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! And none of the settings will make it so amazon will stop expecting this and promising customers I will ship the same day. I CAN"T SHIP THE SAME DAY! I never have and I have been selling here for almost a decade.
WHY IS AMAZON TELLING CUSTOMERS I WILL SHIP THE SAME DAY??? How do I stop this?? I will never ever ever be able to ship the same day!!!! H=

I really wish I could remember which mod it was that, when I called him out on Amazon changing things without permission, told me that "lot's of sellers like it".
Seems that there is a thread a day like yours for the last month. Sadly, it looks like you've done the steps that should fix the problem. My only suggestion is perhaps trying to see what happens if you change handling time to 2 days.
Oh, have you checked that link for SKU level times? Does anything look weird there? I know that SKU level settings override any default or template settings; perhaps they monkeyed around with those as well?

Double check every shipping template (delete any Amazon-created templates you don't use) and make sure none allow automation for anything.
Make sure you have not allowed automation for handling time.
Know that if you allow handling time automation at all, Amazon may tinker with SKUs where you have set handling time at that level.
Further, it's a good idea to check on those things once a month or so.

Like April said, check your shipping templates. For an item to come up as same say shipping, the "Same Day" should have to be checked in the shipping template which will override any other handling time settings.

I was having a similar issue with premium ship orders coming in after my cut off time, so I stopped offering premium shipping. Since I stopped offering premium shipping services, I have not experienced this issue.

Create a new shipping template and look over. You have to edit the shipping as in if 1 day 2 days etc. Once you fix it its fine.

We almost lost our account over this when over night they switched us to same day shipping when we do 2 day... i was checking orders and saw all were do the day they were ordered we started packing orders to barley made it under the defect ratio... called amazon rep they said you were given a email your shipments were changed as if its our fault. We now do all our own shipping templates and set it to two day again. To even think amazon has told us many sellers wanted this is a bold lie they know is not true. We almost lost our whole income over this....

I really don't think customers would be able to choose expedited shipping if you didn't offer it. Check your shipping settings. No one ever chooses expedited shipping from me because I do NOT offer it. They have one choice and one choice only. Shipping next day is good enough, if they want it faster they can shop at a physical store in their home town. Just my feelings about that.

You can click unable to deliver to this address. Meaning shipping time will not make it there in time. Don't do it to many times or it will slow your sales due to percentage of non deliveries.
